Sharp's LC19SB27UT is a widescreen HDTV LCD TV that provides a slim design, high-definition TV solution with a distinctive small foot print. After reading all the reviews, I also chose this TV to use in a small bedroom. I had never, ever set up a TV before, but this was very simple and I was able to get it up and running--and hooked up to my existing cable service. I wanted this for an elderly relative who has a bit of failing vision and hearing loss after a series of strokes. The picture is wonderful, but even on the loudest volume setting, it is difficult to hear. I believe that one reviewer said he had to get some extra speakers and solved the problem that way. I am also going to do that. However, in the future, I will be sure to get a TV that has a great picture, but also good sound--they have to go together! All in all, though, I am happy with the TV and feel it would be great to use just for watching DVDs . . . if one were right up next to it to be able to hear them.

I had high hopes for this t.v. based upon the reviews. Set up was easy, the picture was great, but the volume did not crank up loudly enough for this hearing impaired senior. Although with my hearing aids I generally have to crank up only to the mid-volume range on my other t.v.'s (including on my 20 year old G.E.), cranking this to the full volume setting still had me struggling. This will probably be a fine t.v. for young ears - but we seniors would best stick with something else.

This TV was just as advertised. The only minor "glitch" was that when it is used with a wall mount, it shows the aluminum mounting protrusion used when the base mount is utilized. I emailed Sharp, and was advised not to remove the back of the TV to take it off. I think Sharp might have engineered a better removable bracket as opposed to what is offered presently when a wall mount is used. As I've written here, just a minor thing, but it's always there...

I purchased this T.V. for my 19-year-old son's room; I was finally able to get rid of his bulky T.V. he had previously. It is kind of small though his room is pretty small as well. I think I might get a 24 inch on my next purchase but it suits his room just fine. I would recommend this product for any small guest room, kitchen or garage. Picture and sound quality is excellent and the price was great; can't beat it at Amazon :)

From inception to completion all 5 star. TV arrived in timely manner, compact packaging, easy hook-up, tv automatic identification of analog/digital signals. Perfect size for my office, in my opinion the black frame surrounding screen helps with picture enhancement. Have purchased Sharp tv prior for son's gift and pleased with performance. Amazon purchase and customer service experience have been and continue to be positive. Will purchase through this venue until this proves inferior to another superior manner of product review, selection, tracking, delivery, post-purchase satisfaction. Kudos to Amazon.
